Chulha training programme
Self Employed workers (SEWS) Training Programme for Improved Smokeless Chulhas :
This programme is conducted for manufacturing of innovative models of two pot hole Laxmi model Improved Smokeless Chulhas. These chulhas are supplied on subsiderised rate in the needy beneficiary houses in rural areas of the state of Goa .
The masons/ SEWs are trained to construct these chulhas . AC pipes, Cowels , C.I. grates, mould , tile cutting machine and incentives after installation are provided to SEWs by this Agency .
These are regularly monitored by the Field Assistants of GEDA.
IMPROVED SMOKLESS CHULHAS:
The improved chulhas are scientifically designed for greater energy efficiency of over 24% as against the traditional chulhas which have an efficiency level of 8%-10%
The molded cemented chulhas consists of proportionate mixture of cement, metal stone(grits)and its powder. Accessories for fitting are cast iron grate, chimney and cowel
Improved chulhas are designed to perform at an assured minimum level of efficiency. The volume of combustion area, the area of fuel inlet opening, the depth of the fire box and its diameter, the distance between the fuel bed and pan bottom are some important parameters which influence the performance of a chulha
Supply of cool air at the burning point via cast iron grate results in better combustion, thereby minimizing the emission ofsmoke and maximizing the fuel efficiency. The chimney sucks out the emitted smoke from kitchen and help kithchen clean
It consumes less fuel, emits less smoke, saves cooking time ,reduces drudgery of women and helps to upgrade the environment
